SSE/EventStream debugging

Can we look into adding an EventStream client? it would be really helpful to debug SSEs and they are really starting to take off.

See(Server Sent Events) is a way for servers to push notifications to clients (without websockets or the clients polling the server). It's based on the older idea of http streaming, except it's more refined and involves less hacking. I have created a plugin that supports SSE endpoints (no tests unfortunately) after seeing this feature still wasn't present after 3 years. Enjoy ! (Tested with Insomnia v2022.7.5)

Hello, we are bumping up this very requested feature at the top of our roadmap. As such, you can expect further communication soon on a release date for this capability. Ideally, it will ship in the next couple of months or even sooner.

@jackkav so, I don't know if it is already possible for me to test the feature somewhere. I'm just guessing by the images what may be that "All" dropdown. My question was whether that's a filter for Event Types. Like each SSE message has an optional type. It would be cool to be able to filter messages by type, which is probably already possible with that search bar. I just wondered if that's what that dropdown is about.

First off, thank you for this feature! I just started testing this, and one thing I noticed is is appears the SSE requests cannot reside inside a folder, it must stay at the root level (I can only create an SSE request at the root level, and I can't seem to drag into a folder). Ideally, you'd be able to organize the SSE requests just like any other, and the New "Event Stream Request" option would also be available on a folder context menu with the rest of the request types (it currently does not appear there).

Timeout defaults to 30s and can be configured in preferences, and is also verifiable in the response timeline.

Can this be used for GraphQL subscriptions over SSE?

I would need to POST with a GraphQL subscription query in the body.
In 2023.5.4 when I click on the Body tab I am unable to enter any text.
It shows "Enter a URL and connect to start receiving event stream data".
